About a week ago I asked everyone on Facebook to submit their suggestions for a new female lead in my book ‘Hit’ due out November 2013. After that request I received over 300 responses, with some very elegant names, some weird, and some I laughed profusely at. Cow pie? really?
I scowered all of them while sitting in a hotel room in St. Louis and narrowed the list down to five. Sofie, Brielle, Charlotte, Evelyn, and Abigail and sent those five precious names out into the cosmos of the internet to get your opinions, votes, and discover which one was your absolute favorite. I have to admit… it was a close race.
At first, Brielle and Abigail were hand in hand. They ran side by side like two best friends prancing through a meadow of flowers. They skipped they jumped, they rejoiced in the fact they were in the lead. But then something happened, and another girl emerged from behind, bowled the two best friends don giving them scraped knees and bruised egos, only to run through the beautiful meadow only, victorious, winning by a landslide of votes.

It all started with a birthday present: a little book I wrote for my grandfather, helped along by a little bit of performing experience and a whole lot of love. It has since evolved. Get to know the woman behind the words.
