We scheduled our photography shoot for the cover of Kiss of Fire today, which means in the middle of October I will be running arund my home town for 5 hours with a photographer, a model, and a makeup artist. Is it just me or does that sound like the opening to a bad joke?
Well with the photo shoot coming so close, October 13th to be exact, we had to do a makeup check. Although most of the creativity is in the hands of our photographer – I still have to have some say. Joclyn is a loner skater girl – if she was on the cover looking like this it may not read well.
That makes it look like she is going to venture out and hurt puppies.
So we spent probably a good 4 hours juggling kids, shooing away St. Bernards and mending owies before we came up with a look we wanted. And, that I liked which is ultimately more important.
Now, all we have to do is wait – and hope it doesn’t rain on October 13th.
Or maybe that it does – cause those would be some pretty cool pictures too.
