Today Wins, But Tomorrow Better Beware | Rebecca Ethington

I woke up this morning feeling pretty darn good, if I do say so myself. Good nights sleep, kids in a good mood, husband back to work, 1/2 a peanut butter cup shake in the freezer that I was determined to eat. It was a good start.

I had about 30 emails in my 3 boxes that ranged from blog tour content, to fan mail (which I love!) and a few clarification questions – specifically ‘what’s up with Wyn being the point of view in the next book?’ questions.

So I settled in with my shake, and got ready to answer all the questions in one fail swoop in a blog post and that’s when my day when terrible wrong.

I should have taken a bath and then wrote for eight hours… but no. I wrote a post explaining the point of view changes, forgot to put a spoiler alert on it (Sorry Lenore – I owe you a bookmark) and probably killed the hopes and dreams of the few people that saw it. Okay well maybe it wasn’t that drastic.

But something else came out of that blog post. Yet another seed of a weed that swam through the air to enter my ear and is going to infect not only my plans for this series – but also my next one…

I can’t go into many details right now… but don’t worry it will be spectacular.

What I can tell you is this. The release date for Scorched Treachery should be going forth as planned and we will hear the next section of this lovely story on July 10th 2013. Burnt Devotion is in the air (don’t worry, this is a very very good thing) and before the end of the year is out we *should* be able to finish up Imdalind as well as say hello to Bryn – my un-dead friend from Small Town – USA.

As an accidental author I make lots of mistakes and learn lessons as I go – and today’s lesson was this: DON’T POST SPOILERS – EVER.

I’ll get to the mistake free portion of this path eventually 🙂
