This has been quite a week for me… I released a book… I hit several top 100 lists… and now I am releasing a trailer….

An EPIC trailer

Yes, that had to be caps for a reason.

You see, it was probably about mid Novemeber that this CRAZY idea hit me. I had just turned down my second film acquisition deal and part of me was saying “Imdalind will never become a movie” while another part was saying “It’s probably better that Imdalind will never become a movie… I don’t want someone to hurt my baby.” It was in that back and forth that an idea came to me and began to research film production companies. I went through a lot and kept going back and forth on price – and then one day I found a site (www.Jmillsent.com) that practically changed my life. Yes, I know that sounds cheesy… likes forget I went there… moving on!

Jmills Entertainment is run by a man named Jeremy Miller (see the JMills, there?) and his AMAZING team. And I think I fell in love with his stuff the second I saw his demo reel. It’s beautiful. You can tell someone is a true visionary, and has a beautiful mind when what they produce is filled with emotion, and passion, and a true quality of work that bleeds from the screen. That’s what Jeremy’s stuff did for me.

I think I watched the demo reel ten times, showed my husband, and sent him off an e-mail, heart clenching, because I was sure he would be too expensive. I think I may have grinned like an idiot when he emailed me back.

It was a VERY cold day when we went to their studio to discuss the project, and honestly, I don’t think Jeremy knew what he was getting into – or he probably wouldn’t have taken the project.

This wasn’t his regular project. This was a crazy author who was obsessed with her story and did in fact cry the first time I saw it. I also exclaimed ‘I hate you people!’ very loudly – much to their confusion as they thought I was dead serious.

Anyway… where was I? Oh yeah…

So everyone at Jmills read my book, plotted out their favorite parts and storyboarded it… then I told them I hated it and made them change a bunch of stuff (sorry). So they changed it and went down to St. George, Utah to film (I stayed in Salt Lake, otherwise *I know* I would have driven them crazy telling the actors to smile a certain way, or that their clothes were wrong yadda yadda yadda). I didn’t want to be in the way.

I was so scared the day I went to see the first cut. I couldn’t eat because I knew I wouldn’t be able to hold anything down. I couldn’t even sit down when we got to the studio.

What if I didn’t like it? What if everything was wrong? What if…

Take a deep breath with me people. Because that video was perfect, and amazing, and takes my breath away every time I see it. Yes, there are imperfection to follow the book. Yes, you may have heard or seen the characters differently. But go watch it again.

Watch it as someone who has never read the books, feel the emotion that was put onto the screen…

It. Is. Amazing.

Now, the number one question I get it – will there be a movie. And honestly, I don’t know. Part of me hopes that this piece of art brings that ‘perfect deal’ that allows these books to come to the screen the way they are meant to. Part of me hope I can just keep this trailer close and watch it on repeat all the time.

But I do know this. That if 330 million dollars were to fall in my lap, I would hire Jmills Entertainment in a heart beat. Because he puts emotion onto the screen like I put emotion onto pages. That and he’s a genius.

Now… Lets watch it again…
